We're delighted to be hosting the 5th Annual CAS Resident Simulation Olympics. This event, hosted by our Residents Section, invites members of the CAS anesthesia resident community to spend time with peers from across Canada while engaging in a friendly competition.
Teams of residents will face off in simulation challenges at the Clinical Learning and Simulation Center (CLSC) at Memorial University of Newfoundland. This year, we're introducing a fun and casual event format. Teams will rotate through different stations to complete a series of escape-room style challenges that mimic clinical scenarios. Facilitators in each room will keep track of how quickly and correctly each team is able to work through the exercise. Final scores will be tabulated at the end to determine the winning team.
In between competition rounds, residents will gather in a lounge area, enjoy some refreshments, get to know colleagues from various anesthesia programs, and play informal trivia games.
